Saturdays 10:00 – 10:45am, January 17 – March 7 (excluding Family Day weekend, February 14), $150 for 7 classes., Location: Youngplace, 180 Shaw St., #103.
This is for children who are currently in Kindergarten, or who are home-schooled but in their Kindergarten years. This class offers opportunities play, create, imitate, and learn movements in combinations. Movement vocabulary may be invented, or may draw from a variety of styles, such as ballet and modern. Past themes have included: astronauts, bees, treasure adventures, water, seasons, the alphabet and more. This class concludes with an open class for families and caregivers and usually features a performance created by the children.
Runge has over twenty years of experience teaching creative movement to children in diverse settings. Since 2013, Runge has been offering her one-of-a-kind creative movement classes at the beautiful studio she shares at Artscape Youngplace.
