Teaching News: Registration is now open for creative movement classes for children ages 3 to grade 3 (pre-school, JK & SK and Grades 1, 2 & 3). Conveniently located in Toronto’s vibrant west-end, each series of classes is uniquely crafted to respond to the interests and abilities of the learners in the room. Bees, butterflies, magical creatures, astronauts, and more—the dancers’ creativity inspires new activities each session. A combination of movement games and instructor guided dance exercises nurture each child’s discovery. Every season concludes with a collaboratively created performance.

Performance News: Coming up this December 6th, I am honoured to have been invited to  perform an excerpt from Brahms Waltzes, a solo work by Peggy Baker, one of Canada’s leading lights in the field of contemporary dance. The venue will be the Betty Oliphant Theatre located in the heart of downtown Toronto, and tickets go on sale mid-November.

Choreographic News: My own solo work, Becoming, recently received funding from the Toronto Arts Council. I am grateful for support for support for my work, and planning is underway for production—stay tuned! And, in February my new commission for the York Dance Ensemble will be unveiled.
